The Intelligence Community's Health Plan

Serving the Intelligence Community and now the Civilian Employees of the Department of Defense (2009)

The Association Benefit Plan (ABP) is a Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) fee-for-service plan, which provides personalized customer service with internal customer service counselors, who serve your unique concerns. We offer you and your dependents a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) option for accessing your health care benefits for optimal savings. Our underwriter, Coventry Health Care, provides expert customer service representatives and claims processors dedicated to our health plan and knowledgeable in our plan benefits. We continually improve our benefits, networks and services provided. Our experience and stability ensures that our plan is handled efficiently.

Coventry National (January 2009)
Effective January 1, 2009. your current PPO network will be replaced by the Coventry Health Care National Network. Since Coventry Health Care also provides the First Health Network, this change will simply enhance the network to give you national access to over 5,400 Hospitals, 500,000 Physicians and 77,000 Ancillary providers. A new Identification card, reflecting the name of the new PPO network will be sent to you by the end of December 2008. Please find a link to the new PPO in the gray box on the right of this page.

Lab Card
The Lab Card program gives you and your dependents the option of receiving 100%, covered outpatient laboratory testing if your doctor sends your lab work to Quest Diagnostics for processing.  Lab Card is an optional program. If you choose not to use Lab Card, you will not be penalized. You will simply pay the deductible, coinsurance or copay portion of your lab work.
